My husband and I have eaten numerous times at A16, and we have always had great food and good service. What is wrong with Santa Cruz County? Why do we have to drive to SF for this kind of simple dining experience.

The down side to A16, as with many other dining establishments in the area, is the parking. We get there early and park in a garage around the corner.

My husband and I went to A16 over Christmas time and had that Chocolate Budino Tart - and the waitress recommended a dessert wine with it. I couldn't even speak while we devoured it and was truly amazed at the flavor combination with the wine. When I finally did speak, we ordered another one. Our dining neighbors (you know how close together everyone is seated) all stared at me. There were budinos on every table in a matter of minutes! Thanks for reminding me of that incredible experience! I would love to see it at a local restaurant here in Santa Cruz!!

I couldn't have said it better, except maybe for Erik's name. Let me know when you're ready for another orgasmic experience. You'll also find the wine featured in today's Chronicle. Grazie mille, Donna
