Can you say “allons enfants de la patrie?” Well it’s time once again to raise a glass to our revolutionary French brethren. On Saturday, July 14th, Storrs Winery will be hosting “La Fête Nationaleâ€, better known as Bastille Day. Featured wines include the 2007 BXR, a Bordeaux style blend that recently won Gold Medal at the 2012 California State Fair.
Look for an array of Corralitos sausage with servings of ratatouille, a selection of artisanal cheeses and baguettes all afternoon long. In addition to the 07 BXR, the 02 and 03 BXR blends will be poured in a vertical, along with the Storrs famed Rhône varietals.
$12 for Vin Express members and $20 to the general public, which includes the wine tasting and barbecue. The festivities will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Please call the winery at (831) 458-5030 to reserve parties of six or more.
