tomb.jpgMichael’s on Main has recently embarked on an intriguing guest chef series, and bringing his own seasoned brand of cooking expertise to the game on December 11  will be Tom Brezsny, co-owner of the original India Joze Restaurant.

[Tom here dowsing for rare mushrooms, photographer unknown.]

Brezsny was a mega-smart jack of all trades in the heyday of Joze, and it only makes delicious sense that some of the maestro’s techniques would have seeped into Brezsny’s multi-faceted DNA.  Tom promises to revisit the “world of Pan-Asian pyrotechnics, wok’n on the wilder side of Pac Rim culinary fusions.”  And yes, that means it will be adventurous fun for adventurous palates. I’m going and so is Rita, who may or may not be wearing her Venetian glass necklace.

Brezsny’s menu includes mushrooms sauteed in soy-basil-tamarind sauce; grilled chicken in lime-ginger marinade; grilled beef saté, cold marinated veggie salads, tender lamb strips wok’d in oyster sauce, chicken lemongrass coconut soup, sambals, relishes, gado gado everything. And much more!

Okay – here’s how it works. Prix fixe – $25 – includes Hahn Family wine pairings and guitar by Ken Constable. 6:30 – 8:30pm.
Call 831 479-9777 for reservations and then get on over to Michael’s at 2591 S. Main St.., in Soquel. That’s next Tuesday!
