Should you need another reason to swing by the Cellar Door and feast upon biodynamic vibes, Bonny Doon Vineyard wine and glamorous food, now there’s David Taylor, from San Francisco’s sizzling A16, who will take over the kitchen for a Winemaker Dinner, Sunday Feb. 26 at 7pm.

Need tempting? The multi-course menu ($80 per person, wine pairings included) begins with an amuse of rabbit terrine with roasted alba mushrooms. Antipasto of wild arugula and piopini mushrooms lavished with pecorino riserva will be joined by the mighty 2004 Cigare Blanc. Next comes a first entree of short ribs in porcini brodo with 2007 Dolcetto, followed by Berkshire porchetta with pickled root veggies and king trumpet mushrooms. This course will be joined by a trio of nebbioli from 2006, 2007 and 2009.

Bringing this event to closure, consider Meyer lemon panna cotta with 2009 Muscat.

Even if you could do this at home, you couldn’t do it at home—with these wines— for that price. So make your reservations instantly. Or hit the iPhone with 831.425.6771.
